๐Ÿช”Fizaa

This is an ACTIVE club for 2023-2024.

What is this club about?

Foothill Fizaa is the schoolโ€™s Bollywood club dance team, which aims to spread South Asian culture and passion for dancing by specifically showcasing through the Bollywood dance form! This club inspires many high schoolers to carry on their culture and gives them an opportunity to learn more about their South Asian culture through dancing. Foothill Fizaa is unique as it brings diversity to our population and is open to all races and genders! Throughout the school year, the Foothill Fizaa dance team learns choreography for different dances which they will showcase at different shows across the Bay Area, as well as audition to perform at bigger platforms. It is affordable and a great way to get involved for a unique experience, as well as build a dance family here at Foothill. Not only do students get to bond with one another, but they are also able to get a similar experience to outside of school dance commitments, however, for much less money and commitment! Not only do we cover the Bollywood dance form, but have covered other dance forms like Indian semi-classical pieces, bhangra, and in the future Raas! We even host our own Bollywood dance show Nashaa each year, where we choose different school teams across the Bay Area that are interested in performing at a venue open for all. We make sure to have a supportive audience to help motivate, support, and help us fundraise money!!
