๐Ÿ‡ฐ๐Ÿ‡ทKASA

This is an ACTIVE club for 2023-2024.

What is this club about?

KASA is a club that stands for Korean American Student Association. KASA consists of two branches: modern and cultural. The main purpose of the modern branch is to spread Korean culture among the student body through MCC in March. Additional performances such as middle school diversity days, the DECA talent show, and other festivals also showcase modern Korean dance performances. The performing members are chosen through auditions, however it is to measure the dedication of the club members and not judged based on skill. The officers influence the exercise of equality and set an encouraging atmosphere that builds the confidence of the club members. The culture branch on the other hand focuses on the introduction of traditional Korean cultures such as games, food, and language. We have weekly meetings to discuss upcoming events and activities and have a variety of educational lessons such as Korean history, language, and food. We strive to be an inclusive and supportive community, valuing all members regardless of their background. KASA is always looking for new members and invite anyone interested in learning more about Korean culture to join us.

How do I contact the club officers?

We'd love to connect you with the club officers. Each club has set up a shared email inbox that all officers have access to. This is the best way to contact them. Send an email to the club's inbox. If they are unresponsive, the assigned Club Councilmember can step in and connect you to the club officers, so email them.

How do I contact the teacher advisor (the adult in charge)?

While most questions pertaining to club meetings and mission are best referred to the student officers, an adult contact may be preferable in some cases. Send an email to the teacher advisor. Their email address is below their name.

I want to escalate something. How do I contact the Club Council?

The Club Council is a central body governing the operations of all clubs on campus. They are not involved with the specifics of the club, as that responsibility is shared by the club officers. The Club Council assigns a Councilmember to oversee each club. You can contact the assigned Councilmember at council@foothillclubs.com.
