What is this club about?

The Japanese Club at Foothill is a club dedicated to promoting and celebrating the rich culture of Japan. At the club's bi-weekly, in-person meetings, students can expect to participate in a range of exciting activities designed to broaden their understanding of Japan. These activities include learning about Japanese culture, trying their hand at traditional arts such as calligraphy and origami, and gaining language learning support and tips. Additionally, students can look forward to exploring Japanese films, music, and literature, as well as enjoying and discussing a variety of anime, manga, and other Japanese media. Membership in the club is open to anyone, with no requirements or dues to join. Currently, there are no plans to have any field trips or guest speakers, but the club is always exploring new ways to bring its members even closer to the fascinating world of Japanese culture. The Japanese club serves everyone at school. Just like any other culture club, it serves people who are interested in the culture. In this case, it serves students interested in Japanese culture. However, anyone can join. There is no tedious sign-up to join the club, so it is free to anyone. Because of this, there is a steady amount of people who enjoy coming to the club every other week on Tuesdays at lunch. Students who do take Japanese classes can expand their experience in learning about Japanese culture through this club. Additionally, students who previously took Japanese classes that did not continue can still engage in Japanese activities and converse with their previous Japanese classmates and friends. Also, students who think they may be interested in learning Japanese in high school may come to Japanese clubs to see if they like the language and culture. With its commitment to providing students with a dynamic and immersive experience, the Japanese Club is the perfect place for anyone interested in Japan to come together, share their passions, and discover new interests.
